How to Play Exploding Kittens
- On your turn, play action cards (Skip, Attack, See the Future, Shuffle, and others) then draw from the deck — you want to avoid drawing an Exploding Kitten without a Defuse.
- If you draw an Exploding Kitten, play a Defuse to stay in the game (usually by secretly putting the kitten back in the deck); without one, you are out of that game.
- Players are eliminated until only one remains — that survivor wins the card game; select them as the winner for that scorecard row.
- Play as many full games as you like; the player with the most game wins on the scorecard is ahead for your session.
Tips & Strategy for playing Exploding Kittens
- Hold Defuse cards for late in the game when the deck is thin — but do not hoard so long that you cannot play them when you need to.
- Skip and Attack cards change who draws next — use them to push risk onto opponents when the deck is getting dangerous.
- See the Future is strongest when you can follow up with Shuffle or Skip to control who actually draws the top card.
