How to Play Bocce
- Each end, both teams bowl toward the pallino. Only the team with the closest ball scores — enter their points for that end; the other team gets 0.
- Count 1 point per ball closer than the opponent’s nearest ball. If the closest balls are tied, that end is usually dead — no points for either team.
- This scorecard tracks cumulative points and highlights the current leader — it does not enforce a target score; agree whether you’re playing to 12, 13, or another total before you begin.
- The highest running total is highlighted as the current leader until a team reaches your agreed target score.

After all balls are thrown, only the team with the ball closest to the pallino (jack) scores. They earn 1 point for each of their balls that is closer to the pallino than the opponent’s closest ball.
What goes in each bocce end row?
Each row is one end. Enter the scoring team’s points in their column only — the other team scores 0 for that end.
How many points can a team score per end?
In a standard four-ball game, a team scores 1–4 points in an end—one point for each of its balls closer to the pallino than the opponent’s nearest ball. If the closest balls are tied, many rule sets award no points for that end.
