How to Play Left Center Right
- Sit in a circle and give each player three chips. The middle of the table is the pot. On a turn, roll one die for each chip you hold, up to three dice.
- L (or 4) passes one chip to the player on your left; R (or 6) passes one chip to the player on your right; C (or 5) puts one chip in the pot; a dot (1–3) means that chip stays.
- A player with no chips skips their roll but is not out — neighbors can still pass them chips. The game ends when only one player still has chips.
- Select the last player holding chips as that row’s winner. Play as many games as you like; the player with the most game wins on the scorecard is ahead for your session.
Tips & Strategy for playing Left Center Right
- If you do not have LCR dice, use three regular six-sided dice: 1–3 stay, 4 left, 5 center, 6 right.
- Keep empty-handed players in their seats — a single L or R from a neighbor can put them back in the game.
- Agree before the first roll whether you are playing with chips, coins, or candy. Treating the centre chips as a prize is an optional stakes arrangement, not a game rule.
Frequently asked questions about Left Center Right
What belongs in each Left Center Right row?
Each row is one finished Left Center Right game, from the first roll until only one player still has chips. Select that player as the winner — they get 1 win, everyone else gets 0 for that row.
Why doesn’t this scorecard track chips during a game?
LCR does not use points. Chips move left, right, or into the pot according to the dice. This scorecard only records who won each completed game (1 or 0) so you can see who is ahead across a session.
Who wins across several Left Center Right games?
After you log each game, the scorecard keeps cumulative win totals — the player with the most games won across your session is ahead.
How does this Left Center Right scorecard work?
Enter scores in the rows for each hand, hole, or round — the scorecard updates running totals and highlights the leader automatically. You can add players, rename them, and keep the sheet open for the whole session.
