How to Play Azul
- Azul is a tile-drafting game: players take colored tiles from factory displays, place them on pattern lines, and move completed rows onto their wall to score points.
- Each factory offer round ends when all tiles are taken. Score immediately when tiles move onto your wall—adjacent tiles in the same row or column add to that round’s points. Play continues until someone completes a horizontal row on their wall.
- Tiles that overflow to the floor line cost penalty points during play—subtract them when you enter each round’s score.
- When the game ends, award end-game bonuses: 2 points per complete horizontal row, 7 per complete vertical column, and 10 per full color set on your wall.
- The player with the highest total score after all rounds and bonuses wins.

What do I enter for each factory round?
After each factory offer round, enter the points you scored that round from placing tiles on your wall—not your running total. Leave the cell blank or 0 when you scored nothing that round.
How do end-game wall bonuses work on this sheet?
On the final bonuses line, enter how many complete horizontal rows (2 points each), vertical columns (7 points each), and full color sets (10 points each) you have on your wall. The scorecard calculates the bonus total.
Where do floor-line penalties go?
Floor-line penalties are subtracted during play when you score each round—include them in that round’s points so the factory-round lines match your score track.
Who wins Azul?
The player with the highest grand total after all factory rounds and end-game bonuses wins. Ties are broken by your table’s house rules.
