How to Play Mexico
- Everyone starts with the same number of chips or tokens — three each is common — and the first roller is often chosen by a single-die roll-off.
- Each round, players roll two dice in turn; the starting player decides after each of their rolls whether to stop or roll again (up to the agreed limit). Every other player may take no more rolls than the starting player used, and only the final roll counts.
- Rank the dice with the higher die first. The special roll 2-1 (“Mexico”) is the highest possible result, followed by doubles (6-6 down to 1-1), then all other combinations from 65 down to 31, which is the lowest.
- Whoever has the lowest score after the round loses one chip — log that player on the scorecard row. Play continues until only one player still has chips; that player wins.
