How to Play KanJam

  • CheckmarkTwo teams of two stand at opposite goals about 50 feet apart. Each team alternates throwing toward the opposite goal while the receiving teammate attempts legal deflections.
  • CheckmarkDinger (deflected hit on the goal) = 1 point; deuce (direct side hit) = 2; bucket (guided into the top opening by your teammate) = 3; instant win (unassisted into the slot) ends the game.
  • CheckmarkAfter each throw, enter that team’s points for the turn (0–3). Only the throwing team scores on that row; the other team stays at 0.
  • CheckmarkFirst team to exactly 21 wins, or score an instant win anytime. If a throw takes your total over 21, subtract that throw's points from your previous total (bust rule).

Tips & Strategy for playing KanJam

  • CheckmarkTeams alternate throws — enter one row per throw so the running total stays easy to follow.
  • CheckmarkAt 19 or 20 points, aim carefully: a bucket when you only need 1 or 2 triggers the bust rule and drops your score.
  • CheckmarkAn instant win through the slot ends the game immediately — no need to finish the turn row if the game is over.

Frequently asked questions about KanJam

What goes in each Kan Jam turn row?

Each row is one throw. Enter the points the throwing team scored on that turn (0 for a miss, 1 for a dinger, 2 for a deuce, 3 for a bucket). The other team gets 0 for that row.

How many points is each Kan Jam throw worth?

A dinger (deflected hit on the goal) is 1 point, a deuce (direct hit on the side) is 2, and a bucket (guided into the top opening by your teammate) is 3. An instant win through the slot ends the game immediately.

Does this scorecard enforce the KanJam bust rule?

If a throw takes your total over 21, subtract the points from that throw from your previous total. The scorecard records points only, so apply this rule yourself.

How does the Kan Jam winner show on the scorecard?

Running totals update automatically. The game ends when a team reaches exactly 21 points or scores an instant win. If neither has happened yet, the totals show who's currently leading.

How does this KanJam scorecard work?

Enter scores in the rows for each hand, hole, or round — the scorecard updates running totals and highlights the leader automatically. You can add players, rename them, and keep the sheet open for the whole session.

Can I use ScorecardGO to score KanJam on mobile?

Yes. ScorecardGO is built for phones and tablets: large tap targets, readable tables, and layouts that fit narrow screens so you can score KanJam wherever you're playing.

Does this KanJam scorecard work offline?

Yes. Your scorecard works offline when the page is loaded, and changes sync when you are back online so you do not lose progress mid-game.

Is this KanJam scorecard free?

ScorecardGO is free to use in the browser with no account required — open the KanJam scorecard and start tracking points right away.
