How to Play Five Crowns
- Form books (three or more of the same rank) and runs (three or more consecutive cards in one suit). Each round adds one more card to the deal and makes that rank wild.
- Jokers are always wild. The round’s wild rank changes from 3s in round one through kings in round eleven.
- When you can lay down your entire hand and discard your last card, you go out and score 0 for the round.
- All other players add up the value of unmelded cards left in hand and enter that total for the round.
- Scoring: 3–10 = face value, jack = 11, queen = 12, king = 13, joker = 50, wild cards left in hand = 50.
- After all eleven rounds are completed, the player with the lowest cumulative score wins.
